Good afternoon

Hope your Monday is going well. Cool here this morning which is nice. Latest painting is "Sunday Morning. This is a 16x20 oil on a hardboard panel. I haven't used hardboard panels alot but I keep forgetting how well they work with oils for a very smooth surface. Basis for this painting was of course New Mexico and all the adobe buildings and communities in the valley districts and then in Northern New Mexico. Love the idea used by the Native Americans and the Mexicans to build with sand, clay, straw, and water to make bricks to build their homes. Also when the Jesuits came to New Mexico Churches became part of the communities, I like this painting because of the quiet aspect of the day, the depth of the painting and sand and brick tones of the street and buildings.

I currently have two paintings (including this one) in thet Ridge Art show for members titled Imagination. The show opens Ocotber 7 from 6-8 PM at the Rdge Art Association Gallery in Winter Haven, Florida. I hope to see you there.

Well that is it. On the horizon maybe some Western art shows if I can get juried in. Time will tell. Next art show locally will be the Ride Art Association annual show in January. Stay tuned.

Have a great week and see ya!
