Good Afternoon to all, First of all I hope everyone is staying home and being safe. Here in Florida they haven't done a Stay at Home for the whole state as of this blog, which is to me, crazy, but we dont't need to get into that. I looked at my last blog and that was February 19, 2020. Wow today is Apri1 1, 2020 and so so much has changd roughly in just 6 weeks.
I have been painting but start and quiting paintings mostly before they are complete. Also lots of sketches as of late. For all artists drawing is the basic requirement to do your art better. So thats been my goal .
Red Mesa Late Day is a painting of a mesa that is on the Navaho Reservation in Northern Arizona. I have used it in other paintings but this one is a little more contemporary and I liked the distance and expanse in it. Also the forground creates the depth by layers to the mesa. This is a 12x36 Oil on Canvas. It will hang in my studio until we get through this crisis we all share.
Art shows are none to be found locally until all this clears up. I did enter a online show through Western Gallery and we will see how that goes this month. Otherwise painting and drawing will continue and I feel positive this will clear up hopefully sooner then later. We all will now have a different perspective on social distancing and socializing I am sure.
Again stay safe be safe and hang in there. We have to stay positive in our hearts and for our families. Have a blessed day and see ya!
